This website (denisec.co.uk) is run by me, Denise C, a freelance content creator and social media manager based in the United Kingdom. I am the data controller for any personal information collected through this site.
When you use the contact form:
When you browse the site:
That's all. There's no account to create, nothing to buy, and no mailing list.
I use your contact form details to reply to your enquiry and discuss potential work. My lawful basis is legitimate interests — you've contacted me expecting a response, and I need your details to give you one.
I use analytics to understand which parts of my portfolio people look at, so I can improve the site. My lawful basis is consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
I won't send you marketing unless you've separately asked me to.
I don't sell your information, and I don't share it for marketing purposes.
This site is built and hosted using GoDaddy's Website Builder, so GoDaddy processes contact form submissions and analytics data on my behalf.
Some pages include content embedded from other services:
These services may set their own cookies and collect data when you play their content. They do this under their own privacy policies, which I don't control.
GoDaddy, Google and SoundCloud are based in the United States and may store or process data outside the UK. They rely on safeguards approved under UK data protection law to do this.
Contact form messages: up to two years after our last contact, so I have a record of enquiries and any work discussed. Longer where we've worked together and I need records for tax or accounting purposes.
Analytics data: for as long as GoDaddy retains it under their standard settings.
Essential cookies keep the site working and don't require your permission.
Analytics cookies help me see how the site is used. These only run if you accept them through the banner when you arrive.
Third-party cookies may be set by the embedded YouTube and SoundCloud players if you interact with them.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies through your browser settings.
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please contact me first and I'll do my best to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. Their helpline number is listed on their site.
If I change how I handle personal information, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
